TRAVEL & ENTERTAINMENT: Transcendence Theatre Company’s “Broadway Under the Stars - Shall We Dance” Is a Magical Experience

Spend a magical night under the stars at Jack London State Park in Glen Ellen, CA., and you will experience a memorable night of entertainment as the award-winning Transcendence Theatre Company presents its inspiration production “Shall We Dance,” the third of its 2018 “Broadway Under the Stars” summer series of musical productions. “Shall We Dance is presented with performances currently running through August 19 at the open-air venue of the historic winery in Jack London State Historic Park (2400 London Ranch Road), Glen Ellen, in Sonoma County.

The level of talent of each individual performer is absolutely incredible. "Shall We Dance" features an exhilarating showcase of movement and rhythm, paired with show-stopping vocals. Intimacy, romance and humor are some of the themes expressed through the variety of dance styles including jazz, lyrical, tap and social dances including waltz, tango and swing. All is set to a musical program featuring popular music, Broadway and classics from the American songbook. At the end of the evening the lively, toe-tapping numbers are certain to have you leaving with a smile on your face.

But that’s not all. Before the performance, be sure to take advantage of the park’s sprawling vineyard and meadow by bringing a picnic or even take advantage of the assorted food trucks present to indulge in a vast array of food options. Audience members are invited to take advantage of pre-show picnicking at 5 p.m., and even enjoy musical entertainment before the main performance.

General tickets are $45 to $50. Select tickets are $65 to $75; Premium tickets are $85 to $99. VIP tickets $139 to $150. Group tickets are also available. Five dollars from every ticket sold is contributed for the support and maintenance of Jack London State Historic Park.
